PORTALS OF ANCIENT PERU & BOLIVIA TOUR 2014

MAIN TOUR SOLD OUT - SPACES ON NAZCA ADD-ON

Join best-selling author Freddy Silva, and stars of 'Ancient Aliens' (History Channel) Brien Foerster & Hugh Newman on a unique expedition to the power places and sacred sites of the Andes. There are places on Earth that literally take your breath away. The megalithic culture of Peru and Bolivia is such a place. Imagine cutting blocks of stone so large that few modern cranes can lift them, then hauling them up near-vertical mountainsides and 40 miles across high altitude terrain, then fitting them with lathe-like precision so that 10,000 years later the fruits of this labour are still mostly intact. You get the idea. Sacred sites such as Tiwanaku and Saqsayhuaman defy description because they defy human scale. The temple of Kalasaya alone is accurately dated to 15,000 BC, a time when vast sheets of ice were collapsing across the Earth, bringing with it unparalleled changes to the climate. It was under such conditions that an advanced culture thrived in South America, the stuff of legends. The Inca faithfully maintained their memory so that one day we could travel to these sites and marvel at an civilization whose work modern science still has trouble explaining. To visit such remote places is to connect with a culture that even the Inca considered beyond time when they found these temple cities. Their myths speak of travelling gods moving stones through the air to the command of sound, and erecting "mansions of the gods" literally overnight. What did they know? What did they see? You can find out by joining us on a quest into the unbelievable. Along with site visits we shall attend museums and see unusual artifacts and elongated skulls; we'll tap into subtle energies, practice some dowsing, even meditate wherever the spirit moves us.

Freddy Silva is a best-selling author, and one of the world’s leading researchers of sacred sites, ancient systems of knowledge, and the interaction between temples and consciousness. His books include 'The Divine Blueprint: Temples, Power Places and the Global Plan to Shape the Human Soul'; 'Secrets In The Fields: The Science and Mysticism of Crop Circles'; and 'First Templar Nation: How the Knights Templar Created Europe's First Nation-state'. He has also directed three documentaries. He lectures internationally, with keynote presentations at Megalithomania USA, the International Science and Consciousness Conference, the International Society For The Study Of Subtle Energies & Energy Medicine, and the Association for Research and Enlightenment, in addition to appearances on Discovery Channel, BBC, and radio shows such as Coast To Coast. www.invisibletemple.com

Day 1: Mon 27 Oct: Group arrives in Lima. Free time in Lima. Overnight Miraflores Lima. (people can come early & we can direct them to museums etc)

Day 2: 28 Oct: Fly to Cuzco. Check-in to hotel. Get optional lunch on the main square, then visit the Coricancha complex, said to be the 'centre of the world' with alignments going out from this axis-mundi across Peru, and walls of the Palace of Inca Roca. We will also visit the museum with elongated skulls and the famous '12 sided stone' with limited activity and walking, as we'll be adjusting to the altitude difference. Overnight in Cuzco. B.

Day 3: 29 Oct: Tambo Machay, Quenko, Amaru Machay and Sachsayhuaman: These are a megalithic series of sites up in the hills of Cuzco and have incredible water features (Tambo Machay) and massive technological construction that clearly predate Inca times. Overnight Cuzco. B

Day 4: 30 Oct: Drive through the Sacred Valley towards Ollantaytambo, stopping at Chinchero that has a fine craft market, as well as massive megalithic and polygonal constructions, and a short ancient tunnel. After lunch, Ollantaytambo. This place is simply huge, and is also where we catch the train to go to Machu Picchu the next morning. It is a very complex site, with the Temple of the Sun, agricultural terraces, water features, the Temple of the Condor and a 400 foot tall carved stone face of the great and mysterious teacher called Viracocha. Around the side of the mountain lie various gargantuan megalithic blocks that came from the neighbouring mountain's quarry, but did not quite make it up to Ollantaytambo. Time to explore the beautiful town that has a great market. Overnight in Ollantaytambo. B

Day 5: 31 Oct: Machu Picchu: What can one say; this is the crowning jewel of Peru, the so-called lost city. Here we will also find evidence that a much older culture once lived here, and will learn what it’s real name is. The unique and classy train ride from Ollantaytambo goes through the Sacred Valley, following the path of the Inca Trail. On the way we will see various ruins along Urumbamba river, as it connects the highlands with the jungle. We then get a bus up to the ruins, and spend at least 4 or 5 hours exploring this complex site, with time for meditation and ceremony. We will also have time to explore the market and small town. We will get train back to Ollantaytambo. Overnight in Ollantaytambo. B

Day 6: 1 Nov: Eight hour coach trip to Puno including a stop off for buffet lunch and visit to Alpaca farm. Plus a visit to the incredible Temple of Virococha. Discussion and videos on the coach journey. Overnight at beautiful hotel in Puno next to Lake Titicaca. B,L

Day 7: 2 Nov: Sillustani is famous for it’s round towers called Chullpas, some of which are thousands of years older than the Inca and are polygonal design. There is also remnants of a possible stone circle! We will be dowsing at this site as the energies are powerful. After lunch we visit the enigmatic Cutimbo, another chulpa site with polygonal construction, strange carvngs that look like they are from Gobekli Tepe in Turkey, and a huge square chulpa that you can crawl inside. B.

Day 8: 3 Nov: Amaru Muru, called a stargate by some people where will will have time to meditate and tune in. It has been made famous by the Peruvian Shaman Jorge Luis Delgado, and also Jerry Wills. There is also a tunnel behind it said to go to Cuzco, a distance of more than 400 km. visit to the Temple of Fertility next to Lake Titicaca that has many 'mushroom' or 'phallus' stones within a polygonal megalithic construction, plus two major energy currents that may explain why it is a 'fertility temple'. Drive through border. Afternoon to relax. Overnight Copocobana. B

Day 9: 4th Nov: Island Of The Sun & Moon at Lake Titicaca. (Lunch included). Hydrofoil cruise to Chincana Ruins, the Pre-Inca temple located at 300 meters SW of the sacred rock -where the Rainbow Serpent energy line meets the Plumed Serpent line, at the north side of Isla del Sol. It also offers impressive views of Lake Titicaca. The Chincana contains trapezoidal doors and niches which were adapted during the Inca period. These ruins were believed to be a support facility for the Island’s Shrine, housing the maiden who took care of the Shrine. Hydrofoil cruise to Moon Island, visit the Sun Virgins Temple “Iñak Uyu”. Continue to Huatajata. On arrival, visit the "Andean Roots Eco Village": The Altiplano Museum; Handicrafts village, the Mud Igloos and the mortuary towers of the Urus Chipayas. Meet the Limachi family, builders of the RA II and Tigris for epic expeditions across the Atlantic Ocean. plus meet the vicuñas, llamas, alpacas and the mythical Suri. Overland transfer to La Paz, Bolivia to stay in luxurious 5-star hotel. B,L.

Day 10: 5 Nov: Tiwanaku and Puma Punku: Both Tiwanaku and Puma Punku are located at the same place. Tiwanaku is an enigmatic megalithic temple, with rough-hewn megaliths, strange statues, the Akapana pyramid, that has a major magnetic anomoly at its heart and the sunken temple with hundreds of carved protruding heads. There is also the incredible 'sun-gate'. It is believed that the 'Plumed Serpent' energy line goes through the pyramid and the site is flanked by two fault-lines. Puma Punku is much older and more mysterious. It is here we see evidence of ancient machining of stone. We will also visit the on-site museum and megalithic statues in the main square outside the church. Back to La Paz. Farewell Dinner. Overnight in La Paz. B,D

Day 11: 6 Nov: Fly out of La Paz to Lima. (option to see museums in La Paz in morning depending on flight time). Or fly home directly from La Paz if you are not joining the Nazca add-on. The tour ends for some. Or you will stay at hotel in Miraflores if you are joining us for the add-on. B
